Hellcat Generations & Fitment Reference (2015–2023)

The Hellcat name covers a lot of ground — nearly a decade of supercharged Challengers and Chargers, two body styles, a narrowbody-to-Widebody split, and a family of higher-output variants (Redeye, Jailbreak, Super Stock). They all share the legendary supercharged 6.2L HEMI, but “fits a Hellcat” is not one answer. This reference sorts out which parts cross over and which are specific to your car, so you order right the first time and skip the return.

The one question that saves you money: which Hellcat is it?

Before you buy anything body-, wheel-, or aero-related, pin down four things:

1. Body style — Challenger (two-door, LC platform) or Charger (four-door, LD platform).
2. Model year — 2015 through 2023.
3. Narrowbody or Widebody — do you have bolt-on fender flares and wide staggered wheels?
4. Variant — standard Hellcat, Redeye, Jailbreak, or Super Stock.

Get those four right and fitment stops being a guessing game. Mechanical parts for the 6.2 are largely shared; body, lighting, wheels, and interior are where cars diverge.

Challenger vs. Charger: what crosses over

Both cars run the same supercharged 6.2L HEMI, so the engine bay and drivetrain share a lot:

• Engine & performance — cold air intakes, throttle bodies, and tuning hardware generally cross both bodies (confirm the intake’s listed applications).
• Supercharger & boost — pulleys, snouts, and blower parts are engine-specific, not body-specific, so a 6.2 Hellcat pulley fits either car (but match the variant — see Redeye below). See our supercharger & bolt-on upgrades list.
• Maintenance — oil, filters, plugs, and belts follow the engine, so they cross bodies by year.

What does not cross over between Challenger and Charger:

• Exterior & aero — front lips, splitters, spoilers, hoods, and grilles are body-specific. A Charger lip won’t fit a Challenger.
• Lighting — headlights and taillights are body- and often year-specific.
• Interior — dash trim, seat parts, and some floor liners differ between two- and four-door cabins.
• Wheels & tires — offsets and clearances differ, and Widebody changes everything (below).

Narrowbody vs. Widebody: the biggest fitment fork

The Widebody package is the single most important fitment split on the platform. It adds bolt-on fender flares (~3.5 inches of total width) and wider wheels and tires:

• Narrowbody — typically a 20x9.5 wheel with a 275-section tire.
• Widebody — typically a 20x11 wheel with a 305-section tire.

Widebody arrived on the Challenger for 2018 and the Charger for 2020. Because the flares, wheel offsets, tire sizes, fender liners, and some splitters all change, wheels, tires, and much of the aero are not interchangeable between narrowbody and Widebody. The variants: Redeye, Jailbreak, Super Stock

All variants share the 6.2 supercharged HEMI and the same body/year fitment rules — the differences that matter for parts are in forced induction and a few trim items:

• Redeye — a higher-output engine (detuned Demon) with a larger 2.7L supercharger, different pulley, and upgraded fueling/cooling. Bolt-ons fit like a standard Hellcat of the same body/year, but pulleys, snouts, and blower internals are Redeye-specific. Our pulley and tuning guidance explains why matching the blower matters.
• Jailbreak — a late-run options/personalization package on Hellcat and Redeye cars. Fitment follows the underlying Hellcat/Redeye car; it mostly affects trim and available wheel finishes.
• Super Stock — a drag-focused variant with the highest output and drag-oriented wheels and tires from the factory. Treat forced-induction and wheel fitment as variant-specific.

How to buy the right part every time

• Filter by body, year, and width. Whenever a listing offers year or body dropdowns, use them — don’t assume “fits Dodge Charger” means your year and width.
